Why a journal, and why mornings

MORNING PAWS started as a paper notebook kept by a window that caught the first light of the day. The dog would wake first, sigh like a small philosopher, and wait. Somewhere between the coffee and the walk, the notes began: things he taught us about patience, presence, and the serious business of naps.

This site is that notebook, continued in public. We collect stories about dogs and the humans they patiently train - rescue tales, healing moments, small daily revelations, and the odd philosophical mutt.

What you will find on these pages

Morning quotes that change with the light. Philosophy notes torn from the journal and pinned with tape. A film strip of longer stories. Quiet dialogues between species. A wall of big serif sentences worth rereading. And a masonry of real stories from the dog world - always image first, always readable in one sitting.

The house rules

Be kind to animals. Be kind to the people who love them. Adopt when you can, foster when you can’t, and let someone’s good dog lean on your knee now and then.
